Marciel E. “Marcy” Warnecke, 80, of Delphos, died Thursday at Sarah Jane Living Center.
She was born March 21, 1933, to Lawrence and Christine (Elwer) Lammers, who preceded her in death.
On June 16, 1951, she married Gene Warnecke, who survives in Delphos.
Other survivors include four sons, Mike (Denise) Warnecke of Springfield, Dan (Jan) Warnecke of Georgia and Joe (Sherry) Warnecke and Jim (Suzie) Warnecke of Delphos; three daughters, Cinda Kinstle of Van Wert, Linda (Jeff Cary) Flanagan of Elida and Becky (Drew) Spieles of Delphos; three sisters, Catherine Wolf and Vera (Herman) Hemker of Michigan and Alice Pohlman of Delphos; a brother, Abe Lammers of Spencerville; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and two blessings on the way.
She was also preceded in death by a grandchild, baby Jo; a sister, Luann Altman; three brothers-in-law, David Altman, Ray Pohlman and Glen Wolf; a sister-in-law, Marie Lammers; and two sons-in-law, Mike Woods and Lee Kinstle.
Mrs. Warnecke was a homemaker and member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother. She was very active with family activities, attending her grandchildren’s sporting events but especially organizing outings with them.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Rev. Chris Bohnsack officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Sunday and at 9 a.m. Monday at Harter and Schier Funeral Home, where a parish wake will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Preferred memorials are to St. John’s Schools or Sarah Jane Living Center.
