LANDECK — Virginia M. Trentman Nickols, 83, of Landeck died at 10:55 a.m. Sunday at Vancrest of Delphos.
She was born Sept. 8, 1930, in Landeck to Hilary and Martha (Gengler) Trentman, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include four sisters, Norene Murphy of Lancaster, Mary E. Loraditch of Akron, Rose (Norman) Etgen of Lakeland, Florida, and Lois (Carl) Luersman of Landeck; and three brothers, Merlin (Dorothy) Trentman of Landeck, Tom (Jane) Trentman of Delphos and Robert “Bob” (Sue) Trentman of Delphos. She loved many and also left behind 38 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Pat Trentman; brothers-in-law, Paul Murphy and Andrew Loraditch; and a niece.
She worked several places as a cook and caregiver and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
She enjoyed crocheting and loved spending time with family, baking, cooking and gardening.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Baptist Church in Landeck, Father Ron Schock officiating. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos with a parish wake service at 7:30 p.m.
