SPENCERVILLE — Lloyd R. “Dick” Lape, 82, of Spencerville died 7:50 p.m. Wednesday at his residence, of an extended illness, with his family at his side.
He was born Dec. 2, 1931, near Bowling Green, a son of John L. and Mabel Crates Lape, who preceded him in death.
On July 26, 1952, he married Irene H. Miller, who survives; along with two daughters, Vickie (Mike) Dickrede of Elida and Shelly (Dave) Fenton of Delphos; five grandchildren, Charles (Tressa) Mulholland of Spencerville, Brent (Angie) Mulholland of Canal Winchester, Adam (Erin Locke) Lape of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Megan (Joe) Sharpe of Spencerville and Emilie (Bryan Brissette) Fenton of Delphos; six great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Kacie, Julie and Whitney Mulholland and Victoria and Bennett Mulholland; two siblings, Carl (Ruth) Lape of Van Wert and Helen (John) Kidd of Weston; and his brother and sister-in-law, Hank (Marie) Longstreth of Lima.
