Mary O. Purdy, 92 of Delphos passed away at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday at her granddaughter’s house in St. Marys.
She was born on May 24, 1920, in Van Wert to Howard and Addie (Davis) Parks, who preceded her in death.
On Nov. 25, 1942, she married Floyd D. Purdy, who passed away on July 25, 1988.
Survivors include three sons, Robert (Carol) Purdy of Holgate, Harold “Bill” Purdy of Lima and Charles (Brenda) Purdy of St. Marys; two daughters, Norma (William) Ladd of Cloverdale and Jeannette Burnett of Defiance; 24 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 43 great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-greatgranddaughter.
She was also preceded in death by two infant sons and son Paul Purdy; an infant daughter; and two sisters, Elizabeth Bell Miller and Jeannie Jerome.
Mrs. Purdy was a housewife and a member of the Delphos Wesleyan Church.
Services will be at 3 p.m. on Friday at Harter and Schier Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
