Florence E. Trentman, 86, of Delphos, died at 9:10 p.m. Wednesday at Sarah Jane Living Center.
She was born May 29, 1926, in Putnam County, to August and Anna (Kramer) Schimmoeller, who preceded her in death.
On May 7, 1949, she married Norman Trentman, who died on July 14, 1988.
Survivors include a son, Ralph (Sue) Trentman of Delphos; two daughters, Donna (Bruce) Bechtol of Bryan and Dorothy (Steve) Rayman of Cloverdale; grandchildren, Terry (Brandi) Trentman, Steven and Ryan Trentman, Kevin and Lucas Bechtol, Mairanne Bohnlein and Glen, Garrett and Gayle Rayman; and great-grandchildren, Alexis and Dean Trentman and Mckenzie O’Niel.
Mrs. Trentman worked in the Cigar Factory. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church; VFW Post 3035 Auxiliary, where she was a lifetime member and past president; Catholic Daughters of America; and Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She enjoyed playing cards, crossword puzzles and volunteering at the Interfaith Thrift Shop. Her true enjoyment was her grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Rev. Chris Bohnsack officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Harter and Schier Funeral Home, where a CLC service begins at 3 p.m.; a CD of A service begins at 3:15 p.m.; a VFW Auxiliary service begins at 7 p.m.; and a parish wake begins at 7:30 p.m.
Preferred memorials are to Sarah Jane Living Center.
