Michael E. McCall, 44, of Cincinnati, died at 6:34 a.m. Tuesday at his residence.
He was born Sept. 28, 1968, in Lima to Larry E. McCall and Sally (Vaske) McCall. His mother survives in Delphos.
He married Tracy DiRose, who survives in Florida.
Survivors also include stepchildren, Jim, Reece and Kami; three uncles, Ed (Sandy) Vaske of Delphos, Joseph (Joyce) Vaske of Columbus Grove and Charles (Christina) Vaske of Lima; two aunts, Susan Turner of Delphos and Jayne Vaske of Elida; a nephew, Brice Keeling; and a sister, Kimberly Ann (John) Keeling of Delphos.
He was preceded in death by an uncle, Jim Vaske Sr.
Mr. McCall worked for Finish Line as a regional vice president for more than 18 years. He was currently working for Dollar General as a regional manager for Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. He truly loved training people to help them be the best they could be. He was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, a graduate of Wright State University, where he pitched on the baseball team on scholarship and earned a degree in business marketing, pre-law and psychology. He was a Cincinnati Reds fan and had the opportunity to throw the first pitch in a game in April. He had a love for sports, especially baseball.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Harter and Schier Funeral Home, where a parish wake will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Preferred memorials are to the family for expenses.
